HAGIKURO CHAWAN (Hagi Black Tea Bowl)

This has been handcrafted by OKADA. He composed glaze with black clay made in Hagi and became hikidashiguro. The bowl was taken by scissors from the kiln when fired, rapidly cooled and black color appeared. There is gloss and tightened appearance on the bowl. This comes with a signed wooden box.

He is the eight potter of Okada Kiln founded in Edo period. Various expression with kiln mutation effection is one of his characteristics.
