Ceramic Feature

Hakusansai Kohakubai Togaku (箔燦彩紅白梅陶額)

This is a gold-painted porcelain which Ono-san has crafted.
Japanese togaku is painted ceramic board, and of cource it's baked.
He uses different kinds of foils such as gold, platinum, and colors.

It's one of a kind.
All handmade.

Ono-san was inspired from the picture painted by Ogata, Korin.
Ogata was a painter in the middle of Japanese Edo period.
The kohakubai picture - the rising and dropping branches while bending is so appeals to us.
It was painted on Japanese "byobu" folding screen.
This is certainly the spirit that Japanese could feel from its picture.

The material of frame is made from acrylic glass.
This pottery painting is better to avoid areas exposed to ultraviolet rays.
It might change color from long direct sunlight.

The picture is long with more than 70 centimeters.
A special packaging for art objects is ready for international shipping.
