SEIJI CHAWAN (Celadon Tea Bowl A)

This has been handcrafted by KUMAMOTO. He has thrown on potter's wheel. The material is kaolin china clay called todo. Celadon glaze is poured and it is baked with reduction flame. There is kannyu crack pattern generated by shrinkage. This comes with a signed wooden box.

He studied pottery in Kyoto and built the kiln in his hometown. He is attracted to the charm of the green color celadon creating wares with dynamism.
