SHINSHA CHAWAN (Tea Bowl with underglaze Red)

This bowl is crafted by YASUNAGA. It was shaped by throwing the potter's wheel. In sado, the master of the ceremony invites guests and serves Japanese traditional tea called matcha into tea bowl. Shinsha glaze turns to be red when it is taken through reduction firing. Divided two colors at the middle of the bowl is seen.

All works are fired in the climbing kiln. Pursue the true nature from Karasu clay.
