Profile

The representative figure of Takeo Ware has devoted his 50 years of life to ceramic art.
A lot of young ceramic artists have great regard not simply for his skilled arts but for his humbleness.
He is also known for his long beard.
His ceramics were awarded at Kyushu Yamaguchi Ceramic exhibition, and Japanese Traditional Art Crafts exhibition.
Nowadays his solo exhibitions are held throughout Japan: Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, Kumamoto, and so on.
His arts signify his distinctive style with high-fired clay and the glazing.

Graduation from Arita Technical High School Ceramic
1962
Started pottery art in Kyoto
Studied under "UNO, Sango", "IWABUCHI, Shigeya"
Selected for Kyoto prefecture exhibition, Shinsho Association ,etc
1971
Mumyo Kiln was established in Takeo, Saga
