Profile

The eldest son of MIZOKAMI, Sofu.
He works for his father, MIZOKAMI, Sofu as a successor to the Imadake Kiln and is also one of the most promising young ceramic artists in the future as a successor to Karatsu Ware.
Since he received training for pottery materials, a foundation and glaze in USA, he has researched them positively.
His arts are displayed in a lot of special exhibitions every year. There are many fans in all parts of Japan.

Studied under KAWASHIMA, Kozo in Sumiyama Uji-shi
1985
Design department at Kyoto Prefectural Ceramics Technical Institute
1989
Ceramics department at Kyoto Municipal Institute of Industrial Research
1991
Returned to Sofu and started making pottery
1997
Honorable mention in Saga Museum Association Exhibition
1998
"The Saga prefecture Governor" and "The Encouragement prize" in Western Japan Ceramics Exhibition
The chairman prize of "Saga prefecture council" in Saga Art Association Exhibition
