Tanba Ware

Profile

He is the second generation potter of Shinsui Kiln which succeeds the tradition of Tanba Ware.
He learned the essence of tea utensils from his father, an authority artist for tea utensils.
The art pieces are simple and vigorous, just like this artist’s lifestyle.
Further, his creativity and his technique of the potter’s wheel are the reasons why many ceramic collectors have considered his arts as distinguished.
