Profile

He has a long experience to pursue the modern "Shino" since he entered the world of ceramics more than 30 years ago.
He orginally studied under KATO, Kozo who is the Important Intangible Cultural Asset holder for "Setoguro".
His art is called "AIIRO SHINO (Dark Blue Shino)", and he asked for an honest expression with his own sensibility.
His ceramics are very high reputation as "new Shino" by accumulation of his steady efforts.
His art was continuously accepted in the the Japan Traditional Art Crafts Exhibition since 2004.
His arts are worth seeing of "Kairagi" intellectual cracks which is appeared on the surface of his ceramics and smooth, firm shape.
