Kasama Ware

Profile

He is the master of the contemporary Kasama ware with high evaluation which is received not only from domestic but from overseas.
After he studied painting by MATSUMOTO, Saichi in Kutani, his kiln was built.
The theme of making pottery is to create with free idea regardless of form.
He puts original impression into his arts by turning up the pattern with unpredictability rather than the typical pattern.
He thinks that the origin of the craftsmanship is to attend while he is enjoying.
There are electric kiln, gas kiln, and climbing kiln in his kiln.
He challenges huge object like a monument since it was several years ago.
He makes an effort to spread attending interview or lecture to let people know Kasama ware widely.
