FUKUNO, Michitaka Movie

Profile

He studied under ITO, Motohiko. His kiln was built in Hakoda, Kasama-shi.
His particular design features a balanced combination between an original geometric pattern and overglaze decoration, and gold decoration.
His design is outstanding in the positioning of patterns which is firmly designed.
However, the design is not mechanical. Rather, by painting the colors several times, you feel the softness and simplicity.
He carefully paints his patterns one by one with his left hand using a brush and handmade paints.
His skillful vessels with arrow and feather pattern demonstrate calm and moistness. He creates a fascinating world by putting his soul into molding.
He was nominated for the 40th Anniversary prize in the 40th exhibition of Japanese Traditional Ceramic Art.
Much winning for various public exhibitions.
He will become the leader of Future Kasama ware.
