Profile

He was born in Yamashina, Kyoto prefecture.
He studied under KIMURA, Morinobu who is the holder of Kyoto prefecture important intangible cultural asset. Using the various plant's ashes such as cedar, grapevine, and sunflower, and makes natural glaze.
He raises sunflower at the fileds by himself, and gathers them.
His glazing arts are filled slowly in the electric kiln, and it is turned up until about 1,300 degree temperature.
He concentrates on daily making pottery from the viewpoint of how he drows out the character of the ashes, and treats.
Arts with his great care have the different expression one by one. He opens a new chapter in the future by his own effort with the endless spirit of inquiry to the pottery.
