Profile

Oumei kiln was established in 1983.
He makes the pottery one by one with the polite heart, turning the potter's wheel.
The clay of high quality which is taken at Koishiwara is used. The patterns are dots, ridge line, stripe, spiral and the pottery also seems to begin to move soon. You can enjoy for multipurpose.
The vessel which makes a person feel like having unintentionally gives us the calmness in the dining table everyday, and is highly evaluated. He succeeds the Koishiwara Ware's tradition which has the long history, and he makes the pottery with enjoying the arts which feels the present.
The vessel has the presence moderately, and has good reputation for the serving food. The firm and compact design which is mixed by the rough sand brings us the attraction which the clay itself has.
Many customers visit Oumei kiln to search his vessel from the whole country.
He was seleceted for the various exhibition and won a prize, including the Japan Folk Craft Exhibition.
He was qualified in METI-designated Traditional Craftsperson.
He will open a new Koishiwara Ware's world without setting the limit in a tradition.
