Profile

He was born in Komatsu-shi, Ishikawa prefrecture.
He succeeded the name Isokichi, as the third generation potter and became the head of Isokichi Shinko Kiln.
Two years training in Nagoya Industrial Technology Research Institute and he studided under KITADE, Tojiro who was the maestro of overglaze enamel.
His porcelains were selected or won a prize in various public exhibition, such as Nitten, Japan Contemporary Arts and Crafts Exhibition.
The vessels which use the deep yellow glaze are very refined in the use of colors, and has the calm atmosphere.
The contrast between the pattern such as camellia or pine and the yellow color has involved the ultimate beauty, and it is completed by an excellent technique of "Saijisai (painting)".
You can possibly enjoy his porcelains as if you watched the porcelain picture. Large plate drawing "Shinkansen" is donated at Kanazawa station.
Taking over the techniqiue of painting in Kutani Ware, improving with ideas and efforts, he makes the modern vessels.
