Profile

OTA was born in old Koishiwara village in Fukuoka prefecrure.
Graduation from Arita College of Ceramics, Saga prefecture.
He trained himself at Maruwa Kiln of Koishiwara Ware pottery and has become one of the most active artists of Koishiwara Ware today.
He also horned the pottery skill in USA and studied the western slipware in England.
Patterns are developed with abstracting an essence through the experience of study abroad.
His ceramics matche well in colorful patterns by the technique of excellent potter's wheel.
New style which is applicable to the present day with handsome character and craftsmanship.
