Profile

KANZAKI was born in Shigaraki-cho, Shiga prefecrure.
His father Tsuguharu is making Shigaraki pottery things like haiyu, yakishime and seiji.
Shusaku watched his father making ceramics spontaneously from childhood.
Then he went to Kyoto-fu College of Potter Technology to learn ceramics. He graduated from school in 2004.
"Hisaichoho-zara" dish attracts people to the design of deep soil color with ball-shaped streaming lines.
Strength and prospect to the future can be felt by making ceramics tightly and carefully.
The skill that he acquired steadily was admitted and accepted as a regular member of Japan Kogei Association.
His domestic exhibition is held at the gallery including Kyoto Takashimaya.
The pattern of soil is generated from fire flowing and temperature control in the kiln.
It seems to be friendly pattern with us.
