Enyosai Kaki (塩窯彩花器)
This is the Takeo ware crafted by MATSUO, Jun (松尾潤).
Mottled pink patterns are one of the greatest traits and he named it 'enyosai'.
That pattern is coming out by reduction firing and that kind of quality color is called 'gohonte' due to mutation effect.
He applied engobe and it is fired in the climbing kiln while being thrown salt glaze.
Those salts turned to steam while firing and became a sort of glaze compounding with sillic acid.
Height : 37 cm

MATSUO studied under IWABUCHI, Shigeya in Kyoto in early life. Based on the skill of Karatsu ware, he tries to make new style of pottery.
