Karatsu Ishihaze Chawan (唐津石はぜ茶碗)
This is the Karatsu ware crafted by MIZOKAMI, Sofu (溝上藻風).
Firing in the climbing kiln. He used the skill of forming with coils.
He reproduced Okukorai-chawan which has been around for long years.
Ishihaze means that stones bursted while being fired and sprung up as crack pattern.

He is the head of the Imadake kiln located in Imari-shi, Saga prefecture. It's a mysterious Karatsu-yaki design with soils taken in the nearby mountains.
