Washizome Kamon Bira Hachi (和紙染花文ビラ鉢)
This is the Arita ware crafted by NAKAO, Hidezumi (中尾英純).
He shaped the plate with throwing on a potter’s wheell and expressed the petals pattern by washizome technique.
The dish has the good indigo color shade at the of soft, waving edge.
Washizome technique :
Tearing absorbent paper called washi to pieces.
Making such papers layers to produce the pattern while giving out color gradation.

He uses washizome and sometsuke to produce clear blue color. It gives us sharp and kind impression in Arita ware.
