Seihakuji Sen-Bori Guinomi (青白磁線彫ぐい呑)
This is the Arita ware crafted by NAKAO, Jun (中尾純).
Jun shaped the cup round on a potter’s wheel.
The cup draws us with the gradation of pale blue color on the line engraving.

Seihakuji is made from porcelain's clay used white stones as mateial.
Chinese started to firing first. The glaze containing iron turns to blue after firing.

He makes white porcelain after he learned from the maestro Manji Inoue in Arita ware. By creating a solid form, he's offering new ceramics that are relevant to today's life.
