Seihakuji Shihomon Hachi (青白磁四方文鉢)
This is the Koishiwara ware crafted by ONIMARU, Takayuki (鬼丸尚幸).
He engraved the square design.
Seihakuji is made from porcelain's clay used white stones as material.
Chinese started to firing first. The glaze containing iron turns to blue after firing.
Height : 15.5 cm
Diameter : 55.5 cm
He makes the Koishiwara-yaki ware in the Omei kiln and also creates porcelain works for exhibition. The balance of the soft colors and the chamfered modeling fascinates us.
