Seiji Chawan (青瓷茶碗)
This is the ceramic crafted by KUMAMOTO, Yoshihiro (熊本義泰).
He made the shape by throwing on the potter's wheel.
The material is kaolin china clay called todo.
Celadon glaze is poured and it is baked with reduction flame.
There are cracked patterns generated by shrinkage.

Diameter : 13.4 cm
KUMAMOTO once learned Tenmoku a lot, and had a dilemma about being stucked in boss's sensitivity. Then he found enlightened charm to Chinese Seiji and devotes himself to create original celadon today.
