Hagi Guinomi (萩ぐい呑)
This is the Hagi ware crafted by OKADA, Yasushi (岡田泰).
He combined the white glaze with the ashes glaze containing less iron and that has become a shade of white.
The quality called "tsuchiaji" is soft, deep sense of touch like texture.
And "warikodai", split foot, is one of the traditional design and the pattern like coarce texture appears.

OKADA, Yasushi

OKADA majored in sculpture at the Tokyo Zokei University. He grow up in the traditional Hagi pottery, so it's natural to make Hagi ware.
