Kikuhagi Kodai Kochawanzara (菊萩高台珈琲碗皿)

This is a Mikawachi ware cup & saucer which Satomi-san has created.
Two kinds of flower are drawn by paint color, such as bush clovers and chrysanthemum.
The silhouette seen from the side gives an elegant impression, because it's attached with trimmered that was trimmed into ring.

Toshitaka-san is the eighth generation potter of the Kakusho-gama that has a history over 400 years. He makes plain blue painting of sometsuke by hand-painting that's exactly the characteristic of Mikawachi ware.
