Hakusansai Ryuzu Togaku (箔燦彩龍図陶額)

This is a gold-painted porcelain which Ono-san has crafted.
Japanese togaku is painted ceramic board, and of cource it's baked.
He uses different kinds of foils such as gold, platinum, and colors.

It's one of a kind.
All handmade.

Ono-san was inspired from the picture painted by Hasegawa, Tohaku.
It's said to be the Warring States period of samurai in Japanese history.
Hasegawa was a painter of the momoyama style - "sansui" landscape painting, "shohekiga" partition paintings on fusuma.
The chinese dragon was painted by Hasegawa, that design is considered good luck to decorate.

The material of frame is made from acrylic glass.
This togaku is better to avoid areas exposed to ultraviolet rays.
It might change color from long direct sunlight.

The picture is long with more than 70 centimeters.
