Suiseiji Sokamon Sara (翠青磁草花文皿)

This is a Celadon plate which Kumamoto-san has created.
He made the shape by throwing on the potter's wheel.
He uses the skill called "katakiribori" which means engraving the pattern's outline.
He created the green color with following Chinese Song celadon fired in the Yoshuyo kiln.
It is the large plate with foot and is suitable for putting on the table in the living room.

Having trained in Kyoto, he went back to his hometown and opened the pottery in Kashima-shi, Saga prefecture. He found enlightened charm to Chinese Seiji and devotes himself to create original celadon today.
