Ceramic Feature

Seiji Ban (青瓷盤)

This is a Celadon plate which Kumamoto-san has created.
He made the shape by throwing on the potter's wheel.
He used the kaolin clay.
Celadon glaze is poured and it is baked with reduction flame.
There are the cracks generated by shrinkage.
It is suitable for being widely used including bonsai or plant, plate and ornaments.

KUMAMOTO, Yoshihiro

Having trained in Kyoto, he went back to his hometown and opened the pottery in Kashima-shi, Saga prefecture. He found enlightened charm to Chinese Seiji and devotes himself to create original celadon today.
