Senryu Kiln is the place of five minutes' drive from the Arita station, JR Sasebo Line. The kiln is near Saga prefectural Arita Techical High School. Fields open out through, and a distant view of the landscape is magnificent. NAKAO, Ryuzumi is the second son of Nakasen Kiln, he had kept on making porcelains in the kiln. He has become independent from the kiln and opened Senryu Kiln in 2005. He studied the potter's wheel under INOUE, Manji and won several prize including in various exhibition. He makes not only blue but also original color of red sometsuke, highly praised by many fans. Artworks with minute patterns are displayed such as vases, jars, incense burners (Koro) in the exhibition room. Kissho pattern or Sansui landscape pictures are painted by precious technique nowadays. Painting are done delicately with the minute brush or using for gradation of Sometsuke in underglaze blue.
