Kakuto (赫陶)
This is the Tanba ware crafted by KAKO, katsumi (加古勝己).
Kako glazed the red color that reminds us of ancient earthenware before burning.
The leaf vein-like pattern on the back is the mark left by hitting with wood.
Available for any purpose, it can be used as either a plate or objet d'art.
Height : 9.5 cm
Width : 46.7 cm
Length : 24.0 cm
Kako grew up in Senyuji of Kyoto where it's a production area of the "Kiyomizu-yaki". Pursuing a new form that transcends the framework of traditional pottery.
