Mizusashi (水指)

This is a Bizen ware fresh water jar which Mori-san has created.
Being fired in a climbing kiln twice.
He used spilt log by red pine fuel as fuel and goma pattern fallen ash look like sesame is appeared on both sides because it was placed before strong flames.
It's one of the characteristics in Bizen ware.

The pot of weight is more than 1.5 kilograms.

Mizusashi (水指)
A fresh-water pot for tea ceremony.
It's one of the tea utensils called "o-chadougu".
It comes in a variety of shapes, cylindrical type is often used.

Comes with a lid.
Lid made of pottery : the same material as the main body called tomo-buta.
Lid made of urushi : a different material from the main body and is made of Japanense urushi called nuri-buta.

Mizusashi is used for the following purpose.
・Adding water to the tea kettle
・Cleaning tools and tea bowl.
