Seihakuji Choryumon Chawan (青白磁潮流文茶碗)

This is a Kyoto ware tea bowl which Higuchi-san has created.
Potter's wheel throwing to shape.
Firing in the electric kiln.
The tea bowl is used for the Japanese tea ceremony.
The patterns are emerged diagonally, and it also has the user-friendly comfort in having in hands.

Seihakuji (青白磁)
It's one kind of hakuji, there's the pale blue-green color caused by subtle amount of iron.
The transparent color that blends into nature is really impressive on the whole.
It's all started with baked works in China.
The glaze containing iron turns to light blue by reduction firing.
