Washizome Shimamon Rock Glass (和紙染縞文ロックグラス)
This is an Arita ware cup which Hidezumi-san has created.
He attached pieces of traditional papers to the body and expressed the stripe pattern.
This glass have a feature of contrast between with margin and indigo color by washizome.
Washizome technique :
Tearing absorbent paper called washi to pieces.
Making such papers layers to produce the pattern while giving out color gradation.
