Tanseiyu Guinomi (淡青釉ぐい呑)

This is a Hagi ware cup which Okada-san has created.
He produced soft blue glaze called "tanseiyu" which expresses the beauty of the Sea of Japan.
He is searching for balance between pale blue glaze and clay's warm character.
Chamfering helps us see soil's faces on the side and the work has a design with the gentle feeling.

Yasushi-san has majored in sculpture at the Tokyo Zokei University. He has developed the original glaze including the pure and light blue color inspired by Sea of Japan.
