Shinsei Kiln is the place of ten minutes’ drive from Komatsu Airport. Artworks are placed such as incense burners, jars, vases, drinking vessels, plates and bowls in the exhibition room. Shinsei Kiln was established by MIYAMOTO, Tadao at the place in Komatsu-shi, Ishikawa prefecture. He paints the design such as mandarin duck, crane, and pine, bamboo and plum patterns into the porcelain with the dignity, grace from the style. Each art is handmade one by one, it is very valuable masterpiece because he can make only few works a year. It is the first grade ceramic which has delicate, fine brush work and massive color with Kokutani style. His-son, Masao succeeds to the technique, researching glaze, design and new Kutani Ware’s potential can be felt. He is careful in both painting and color’s beauty which is the most attractive in Kutani Ware. The kiln is remarkable that there is a sense with both tradition and renovation at the same time.
